Vanning Inspection

Independent supervision of cargo loading into containers to ensure correct packing, securing, quantity verification, and container integrity.

Vanning inspections are conducted during container loading operations to monitor cargo condition, packing methods, weight distribution, and securing arrangements at the point of origin.

Container Preparation

Container & Cargo Readiness

Prior to commencement of vanning, the container is inspected for cleanliness, dryness, structural condition, and CSC compliance.

Cargo packaging, markings, and condition are verified to ensure suitability for containerized transport.

Cargo Loading Supervision

Cargo (Charcoal/Carbon) Vanning Inspection Survey

The charcoal cargo offered for shipment was inspected for quality, moisture condition, and loading integrity. The material was found to be in sound and merchantable condition, conforming to the contractual specifications in terms of type, size grading, and absence of visible foreign matter. Random visual checks indicated uniform lump size with no abnormal fines, contamination, or off-odour observed at the time of inspection.

Moisture condition was assessed visually and by spot checks, and the charcoal was found to be dry, free from wetting or dampness, and suitably protected from weather exposure during handling and loading. Vanning inspection confirmed that the shipping container was clean, dry, odour-free, and structurally fit prior to loading. The cargo was loaded and stacked in an orderly manner to minimize movement and bag damage, after which the container was sealed, and the seal number was recorded accordingly.

Condition Verification

Cargo condition verified before and during vanning.

Quantity Confirmation

Counts, weights, and packing quantities cross-checked.

Securing & Safety

Lashing, blocking, and bracing arrangements verified.

Sealing & Records

Seal numbers applied and documented upon completion.

Inspection Records & Reporting

Detailed inspection records are maintained throughout the vanning operation, including cargo condition, packing sequence, securing methods, and any observed irregularities.

Upon completion, a factual survey report supported by time-stamped photographs is issued, providing defensible evidence for shippers, receivers, insurers, and contractual stakeholders.

Control at the Point of Loading

Vanning inspection provides documented assurance that cargo was loaded correctly, reducing transit risks, claims exposure, and commercial disputes.
